fabrication finishes
We design and fabricate our large range of bespoke metal products with various fabrication finishes including hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating, priming, painting, satin and mirror polishing to provide a great finish, protective coating and guaranteed years of functional use.
Why Galvanize?
Galvanizing offers a metallic anti corrosive cover to protect mild steel from the elements. Galvanizing has a shelf life over over 50 Years which means little maintenance is needed on galvanized surfaces.
The galvanizing cover on items corrodes in preference to the steel itself giving further sacrificial support.
Galvanizing is the most toughest and reliable coating and used across the board within the fabrication and construction industry.
Why Powder Coat?
Powder Coating is the process of applying a dry free flowing powder to a surface, the main difference between powder coating and painting is the that powder coating does not require a solvent to stick to the surface.
The item that is to be coated is electrostatically charged and then cured under heat so the coating forms a skin on the item.
Powder Coating is environmentally more responsible than other solvent based coatings as there are zero volatile organic compounds.
Powder Coating gives a more complete finish and partnered with galvanizing is the best pretreatment for external works.
