Where do Bradfabs work?
We work nationwide, sometimes the distance makes our price less competitive, but we can offer supply only or there may be other ways to keep your cost in line with budget.
Do we need planning permission?
This is entirely dependant upon circumstances and we advise that you contact your local planning department to obtain confirmation.
What do Bradfabs need in order to provide a quotation
As much detail as possible would be best, photographs of the proposed location of the item are ideal but sometimes this is not always possible (i.e if the building is not yet built).
We can accept all types of file and even if you don't have access to a photo we can always work from a sketch or even sometimes Google Earth!!
The less detail we have the more budget the price will be, all prices would be subject to a site survey in any case.
Why are your lead times so long?
Bradfabs makes all its items bespoke, the process of measuring up a job, producing drawings for manufacture takes up to 2 weeks, the item then needs to be manufactured.
Depending on whether the job is a complicated staircase or a fairly straightforward balcony reflects in how long it spends in our warehouse.
For example if a balcony is made using Mild Steel this item once made will need to be galvanised, this service is carried out by local specialists, the same for powder coating.
All these processes can end up taking the job 6/7 weeks to manufacture, the installation then needs to be scheduled with the customer.
The products made are high quality and we do NOT import any items from oversees so you can be assured that everything is manufactured to the best quality.
Do Bradfabs supply or supply & fit?
We can offer all options from supply only, supply and fit or we can offer the design service only.
If you require we can breakdown the quotation to give you cost of the installation so you can decide whether you wish to install it yourself or get the installation done by your builder for example
I like your price ... what happens next?
If you are happy with the quotation we have given you, the next step would be a site visit. Your location plays an important part in this process and we might require a small deposit if you are in Scotland for example, but this cost would be deducted from the cost of the job.

How long do installations take?
It depends entirely what we are installing, if it is a large staircase with several flights these will need welding on site and might take up to a week.
Some straight forward balconies or balustrade could be done within the day.
All our mild steel items we recommend are galvanised. Steel will rust in outside conditions unless galvanised, the only material that does not need galvanizing is Stainless Steel.
What payments methods do you accept?
We accept cheque, bank transfer, Debit Card over the phone
Do we accept Returns?
Our products are made bespoke to fit a unique environment so our products are not usually returnable.
However situations do arise when items don't quite fit or issues while installing, we will work with customers until any situation is resolved, this might mean we have to return to site.
But be assured someone will always answer the phone during working hours and there are no pesky call centres or options to choose from .. its a direct line in!
