Delivering Large Scale Balcony Fabrication for a Modern Residential Development

Project Overview

Our team recently completed a major fabrication and installation project at the King Street West housing development in Stockport, delivering over 60 balconies to the project along with a range of other additional structural elements.

The Challenge

With more than 60 balconies required across two high-rise buildings, the project demanded a high level of coordination, precision and consistency.

Each balcony needed to meet strict structural and safety requirements whilst still fitting in with the overall aesthetic of the rest of the project. The installation of these balconies also had to fit seamlessly within an active construction programme, without causing delays or disruption to the rest of the project.

Logistics were also a key consideration. The split building design and varying site levels meant that planning deliveries, access and installation sequencing was critical to keeping the project on track.

Our team was responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the balconies, as well as a number of other additional fabricated elements across the site.

Despite the scale of the project, we maintained consistency across all our fabrications whilst also adapting to specific requirements in different areas of the development. This balance of standardisation and flexibility was key.
